Please state which strand you wish to follow, if you have a preference (Tudor & Stuart music or Twentieth Century music for the St Albans course, or organist/composer/conductor/singer for the Worcester course).  If you would like further guidance on this, please contact Richard Smith, the director of the LMC.

Terms and Conditions:

Course fees include all rehearsals, workshops & performances, transport for excursions (where applicable), refreshments during rehearsals and one light meal each day (except when indicated otherwise in the course description). They also include the loan of all sheet music and rehearsal materials. In the case of your application being unsuccessful your deposit will, of course, be refunded.

Although every effort will be made to adhere to the published course content, alterations may, under circumstances outside of or within the control of The LMC, have to be made. The LMC reserve the right to do this without notice.

Singers are expected to adhere to a simple dress code for the public performances on each course (dark suits for men, black skirts/trousers and white blouses/shirts for women). Only singers who adhere to this dress code will be allowed to participate in the public performances.

Some events may be sound and/or video recorded, photographed or broadcast. Copyright for these will remain exclusively in the possession of The LMC.

These courses are open to all, regardless of personal religious affiliation (or non-affiliation). Participants need not be communicant members of any church. However, all participants should be able and willing to attend and participate in Christian church services.

Payments (deposits and final payments, and accommodation payments if applicable) made to The LMC are non-refundable, except in the case of the course being cancelled.

Sheet music is issued on a loan basis, and a charge will be made for replacing any lost music, or music that is not returned by the last day of the course.

Detailed timetables will be given out at the start of each course. Although we try to build in free time wherever possible, participants should be prepared to make themselves available for rehearsals for the entire duration of the course. Most of the music to be studied will be ready to be sent out to participants before the course starts. However, singers should expect to be issued with some music during the course itself. Music packs will not be dispatched until final payments have been received.

The course director and tutors reserve the right to refuse to allow singers who have not, in their opinion, prepared adequately for the course to participate in public performances.  This right will only be exercised in extreme circumstances.

The course director and tutors reserve the right to refuse to allow singers who are, in their opinion, suffering from serious and intractable vocal problems, from participating on the course.  This right will only be exercised in extreme circumstances and in this case a full refund will be given.

Application for a place on any event run by The Liturgical Music Courses will indicate acceptance of these terms and conditions.
